A good life, built by hand…
There are some people who make you question the scale and cost of almost everything.
Lloyd Kahn is definitely one of those people.
In our latest episode of Portraits of Another Life, we spend time with Lloyd, the legendary builder, publisher, and countercultural figure whose life’s work has inspired generations of people to think differently about shelter, materials, self-reliance, and what it means to live well. What makes Lloyd so compelling isn’t just that he built so much with his own hands. It’s that he did it with very little money, and in doing so, arrived at a version of happiness that feels almost radical by today’s standards.
